Formerly known as the Maresh Red Barn, our new name —Maresh Vineyard and Winery—reflects our deep roots as one of Oregon’s founding wine estates. Four generations have lived  on the property and farmed our vineyard –  Jim and Loie Maresh, Martha Maresh, Jim Maresh, and young Jimmy, the latest “Jim” on the farm.

Our wines are: Arterberry Maresh Pinots and Chardonnays, Tan Fruit Chardonnays, and the occasional bottling of Powell Hill wines. Jim makes his acclaimed Arterberry Maresh and Tan Fruit Chardonnay wines at the winery with fruit from his favorite blocks of Maresh Vineyard and a select few Dundee Hills vineyards.

Our tasting room is temporarily closed as we move forward,
building a new tasting room to be located in the winery at the top of the farm. Watch for our announcement in April 2026!

“Tense and savory, with layers of spicy herbs and black pepper, together with pure, elegant fruit wrapped in blood-orange zest. The structure is tightly wound, with firm, deeply rooted tannins and almost endless length. The mid-palate unfolds with bitter oranges, seashells, iron and crushed bricks, adding complexity.

“Year after year, the small Arterberry Maresh estate, helmed by third-generation winemaker Jim Maresh, impresses with its singular expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, a result of old vines and no-frills winemaking.

Although just 6,000 cases of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are made annually, this family-run estate epitomizes the best of what Willamette Valley has to offer and is synonymous with Oregon’s old-vine heritage.

The wines are concentrated yet elegant, fruity yet flinty and are some of the most impressive wines I’ve tried anywhere—not just in the US.” – Wine Advocate May 2023
